| As part of its detour around a damaged bridge on the Sunset Route southwest of Houston, here Sunset Limited #1 is shoving backwards from Houston's Amtrak Station and across I-10 on Main 2 of UP's Houston Subdivision in order to access the train's detour route. The train ran on the BNSF between Houston and Rosenberg, TX (35 miles southwest of Houston) via Alvin, where the train then returned to its normal routing. |
