Description:  The eastbound ZLAJX 13 (Z Train- Los Angeles, CA to Jacksonville, FL [CSXT Interchange]) races past the historical Imperial Sugar char house in Sugar Land, TX, about 25 miles southwest of Houston. From Houston, the train will actually shoot northward to be interchanged with CSX at Memphis rather than its normal interchange point at New Orleans due to UP's bridge at the Sabine River (TX-LA border) being underwater due to massive flooding.

Description:  Amtrak's Sunset Limited overnights at the Houston Amtrak Station due to some unusual circumstances in mid-March 2016. Due to heavy rains and flooding, Union Pacific's bridge over the Sabine River on the Texas-Louisiana border was closed for a week. The bridge was shut down early on the morning of March 15th as Amtrak #2, the eastbound Sunset Limited, was traveling between San Antonio and Houston. Amtrak decided to terminate Train #2 at Houston and turn the consist there (This picture was taken that night). The following day, passengers were bussed to Houston and the consist left westward from Houston as Train #1 on the evening of the 16th.
